The USA doesn't have anything resembling an independent judicial system ... no half-sane country should extradite ANYONE to the USA.

This ruling doesn't exonerate Assange, it condemns the deplorable condition of the US carceral system. US "justice" has a poor reputation worldwide.
Award Assange a USD 20 million compensation and full freedom. No conditions, no negotiations.

Why is the media leaving out the due to inhuman imprisonments in the US in the headlines. Wouldn’t want the world to look into the US for profit prison systems

A little history: The State Department has rejected a request from London to hand over a U.S. diplomat's wife who fled the U.K. last year after she was involved in a head-on car crash that killed a young British man.
Make a conclusion on your own!
Best news I've heard today. Thank you UK. Spot on assessment about US jails & prisons.

Why would US intelligence officials be angered by the decision of an independent judge? A US CIA operative killed a teenager on a British road when she was driving on the wrong side of the road. She was smuggled out of the UK by US officials. That case was never even put to a judge and the State Department simply flat out refused to even consider UK law applying to her. At least in Assange's case there's a semblance of due process.
Many countries do not allow the extradition of prisoners to the USA, if they have a chance to get the death penalty.
And sometimes other poor handling of inmates and suspects also play a big role.
The problem is not which crimes Assange did or did not commit, but the state of the US judicial system.

Espionage... so that's what the U.S. calls real journalism. Maybe mainstream media should try it sometime.
This is just a temporary reprieve before he gets Epsteined. How are you supposed to have a great reset with folks like Assange spilling the beans. Obrador is about to get a call with an offer he can't refuse.

Let's hope and pray this heroic man isn't found dead in the near future, like has happened to numerous other whistle blowers over recent years and decades. If Julian is, it will undoubtedly be another murder, and not suicide WHICH will be the official reason given by those complicit in it. FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE JULIAN ASSANGE - HERO AND TRUTH TELLER
well done UK they wont extradite Anne Sacoolas for killing Harry Dunn why should we given the yanks Julian Assange, f'em
not extradited because of the united states solitary confinement is considered torture. but the rulings agreed with the united states that assange had no rights as a journalist.
"In its reaction, the US justice department said it was “gratified that the US prevailed on every point of law raised”. The statement added: “In particular, the court rejected all of Mr Assange’s arguments regarding political motivation, political offense, fair trial, and freedom of speech.”

Freedom of the press advocates fear that Baraitser’s ruling may have enhanced the chilling effect of the US legal pursuit of Assange."

the usofa is an empire and acts like one. murder, mass murder, torture, just part of the game. there are no rules of decency when it comes to corporate desire for other's resources, wealth. Assange and other journalists threaten the united state empire's control so must be dealt with using the most severe methods.
Nor could you assure his security under that government....

THANK GOD ! At last the British legal system has pulled up it's Boots. There's not enough Justice in the USA anymore. You can't call it that when it's 'supposedly ' goes by the same name, makes the same claim, repeats and redistributes the blame. BRITISH PEOPLE Aren't so different from Americans, except for the guns. Their brains have evolved not to use violence, without Juris Prudence . Try it America Educate yourselves.
Honestly Assange would be safer in a UK jail cell because the moment he makes bail an American sniper will be waiting outside of that court room.

Exposing war crimes shouldn't be a crime itself, regardless of who committed it and on who's behalf it was committed. Obama was smart in not pursuing it but dumb Trump, thought cowboy bravado was the right approach. Part of smart leadership is understanding your assets and liabilities , to which Trump was incapable of. National security vs Rule of law, where and who draws the line? Government vs the people, for whom government is set up.
Lol can't be extradited due to MENTAL HEALTH, in other words, due to USA.

Unexpected - though excellent news - he was a reporter and should have been treated as such. Additionally his home government in Australia should have stood up and advocated on his behalf; they did not. May Mr Assange now find some peace and safety. A small piece of sanity in an insane world.

To little to late MSNBC!
As an expat I am ashamed of the celebration of this cad masquerading as a human rights activist while still not been able to make a solid and plausible reason why he isn't an agent of Putin. It is rather strange that since the onset of the Trump administration and the exit of Obama that somehow Wikileaks has not released anything as embarrassing or of note in all those years. I hope he stays in prison at the very least if not extradited and his fiancee is quite free to join her "hero" there too.

Dee Wells

When the US appeals (and I hope it is stupid enough to try), the US attorneys will need reminding that they did not regard George Bush's war crimes reported through Wikileaks as important enough to prosecute. Surely they must agree that Assange, being effectively a journalist, is of no interest as a witness or a defendant. What's next... US will prosecute computer programmers who wrote the video codecs that made it possible to see Bush's war crimes.
Weird. No idea why trump would want him. After all, he helped get him elected. As far as pardoning him, he doesn't have to be in the states to be pardoned. Seems the whole world has gone crazy.

This is why we have an independent judiciary.you mite not like decisions but they are based on laws and not what people want them to be.he is in British custody and will be treated fairly as the laws demand.assange mite not be a Saint but he is allowed due process under the law.

Romans 3: 23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Hebrews 9: 27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Isaiah 64: 6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Revelation 21: 8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Romans 5: 8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 14: 6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Romans 10: 9-10.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Jesus said John 5: 24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
1John 5: 10-13
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Ephesians 2: 8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 8: 1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
