Crazy how a surface can make so much of a difference, I mean Aus open just the year before Djokovic beat Nadal so hard he made him look like a beginner then fast forward a year and Nadal sends Djokovic back to his junior days, simply marvellous

2040 .... Nadal wins his 33rd Roland Garros against Federer’s Grand son
Its not even about speed, that man just knows how to hit the ball to win on clay. To beat Djokovic 6-0 is unreal.

Rafa winning Roland Garros is the only normal thing that happened in 2020.
This guy is 34 years of Age and won a Grand-Slam Tournament without losing ONE, SINGLE, SET.

Holy Hell.

13 French Opens is a record that will never be broken
As a Novak fan, I knew he was in trouble when Rafa hit that crosscourt backhand winner in the first game 40-30. Rafa only hits that shot when he's fully confident in his strokes.
If they ever cancel Roland Garros for a year, they're probably going to send in the trophy to Nadal by mail.
Nadal never throws his racquet when he's angry but throws his racquet after winning RG 🤣

Guys Djokovic didn't even play bad. He could've slayed anyone else on this day. It was just that Nadal was so good to be beaten.
This is Nadal without any mental lapses against nole. This is Nadal at his best. This form reminds me of his 2008 against Federer in RG final

As huge Novak fun I must admit there is no match for Rafael Nadal on Rolan Garos when he is healthy. This is incredible! For me hardest thing in history of sport is beating this guy in his "home".
His reaction to winning the match was so genuine. He seemed almost giddy with excitement. I love those moments in tennis.

i loved how Rafa said in the first interview on court "Novak killed me in Australia, now it was my turn" and even Novak had to laugh after loosing this match! amazing players!
Joseph Manno

That had to be SO satisfying. The lead-up: "Oh, it's cooler, and the conditions favor Djokovic. Rafa's run is over." And Rafa produced one of his best Roland Garros tournaments ever. Here's a stat for you: Roger Federer has won 20 Grand Slam Men's Singles tournaments in 79 tries. Nadal has done the same ... in 60 tries. Who's the GOAT? That would be Rafa.

Every Nadal fan would want to forget most of 2011 and the AO final 2012. I sat through those finals and it was heartbreaking how Novak upped his game ...and then the back injury in the final of AO2014 against Stan. Nadal fully deserves to be on 20 slams and I hope he doesn't stop 🐐

It's funny how Novak celebrated holding his serve as if he was winning the match. That is a good way to understand the level that Nadal was displaying that day. I have not seen anything like that before. Nadal is just on other level when playing on clay courts. Really hoping he gets to win even more grand slams and hopefully the ATP Finals or any other indoor tournament before he retires.
Marco Villar
Marco Villar:
Novak totally outclassed and outplayed by Rafa, the first two sets even seemed as a pro against an amateur who happens to be the world’s number one by a difference of almost 2000 points. Rafa is by far the best player on clay of all time.

Nadal's record of French open titles is unbreakable
Just look at how comfortable he is holding that trophy. You can tell he’s held it a few times. Others would be only touching the edges so not to get fingers marks on it. Nadal’s hugging it.

Nadal's dominance at RG shouldn't be a surprise to anyone anymore, but it's still simply amazing for Nadal to beat arguably the world's second greatest clay-court player so comprehensively in the final. I'm a Djokovic fan, but you gotta tip your hat to true greatness when you see it.
S M:
Odd was against this man. The cold temperature, closed roof, humidity, new heavy balls, low bounce, no warm up matches behind him and then meeting the world number 1, who was brimming with confidence after the Rome title behind him. To defeat Djokovic in straight sets and a bagel shows what a beast Rafa is. People say about current Novak's dominance, Rafa today showed no matter what circumstances, no one can challenge him in Paris. Now, he completes his 100th win, equals Roger Federer 20th Grand Slams, 13th French Open title, what an achievement!! What a fighter!! what a champion!! King of Clay!! GOAT
We all get humbled. Good stuff, you can only shake it off and move on. Rafa deserves all the praise.

a la michi, este juego está que quema. Vine de Run BTS para ver cómo era en realidad un juego de tennis y pues los chicos me divirtieron JAJAJA mis respetos
Okay, can we please talk about how everyone is wearing long sleeves and leggings, and Rafa is out here dressed like he normally is? Like, seriously, how is he not cold?

I became a Nadal fan after Agassi retired. He was the one player that kept the sport interesting for me. Such a hard worker on the court with incredible ground strokes.
Obviously I and most predicted Rafa winning the tournament but I did not expect this steamrolling. Rafa is a master of all surfaces but on clay he is magic.

If you understand tennis, you understand that Nadal stood much closer to the baseline than he typically does and this caught Novak by surprise. That little bit of time he took away from his opponent meant all the difference. Rafa knows how to defend his home court. This was a fantastic display of tennis...
What did Almagro say about Rafa, that he'd be winning RGs when he's 60 ? I guess he wasn't too far off :D
